Pacing at 11:58 per mile across 25 miles in Auburn's clear, mild April conditions, she was the only woman in the F50-59 field to finish under five hours — and she did it at 57, the oldest finisher on the podium. She held 4th among women through the middle of the race and closed at 5th, posting the 9th-fastest women's split on the Last Gasp→Finish stretch to seal the win.

Amy Delaney, 51, was the story of the second half. She entered the Rattlesnake Bar checkpoint 11th among women and surged through the next segment with the 3rd-fastest women's split on that stretch, pulling up to 9th among women by the finish and securing 2nd in F50-59 in 5:08:09. Stephanie Konvalin rounded out the podium in 5:22:52, climbing steadily through the women's field with the 10th-fastest women's split on the second half of the course.

Further back, the race ended in near-drama at the tail of the F50-59 field. Tanimoto and Galarpe ran the final miles in lockstep, crossing in 6:59:39 and 6:59:40 respectively — one second separating 10th from 11th after nearly seven hours of racing. It's the kind of finish that makes you wonder what happened in the final quarter mile.
