Walsh-Curley (4th, 1:39:19) and Cyndi Benik (5th, 1:53:11) each lost ground in the women's standings on the closing segment — Walsh-Curley sliding from 98th to 115th, Benik from 133rd to 128th — suggesting the heat and elevation pressed hardest on the back half of their races.
