The M20-24 age group at the 2025 California International Marathon came down to one man: Kyle Pimshan. The 22-year-old from Galt made the trip to the start line and saw it through to the finish, covering the point-to-point course in 5:29:36 under cool, overcast conditions — 46°F with light winds that at least kept the effort from turning into a heat battle.

With no rivals to chase in his age group, Pimshan's race was a personal one, and he delivered a complete effort at 12:34 per mile over the full distance. The win is uncontested, but finishing a marathon is finishing a marathon — and Pimshan is the M20-24 champion of CIM 2025.
