M25-29: Pouzakov Dominates a 40-Man Fresno Field

Andrew Pouzakov owned the M25-29 race from start to finish. His 19:45 at 6:21/mi was a commanding performance in a 40-man field — and it comes with a footnote worth noting: Pouzakov ran this same event in 2023, finishing 8th among the men in 19:30. The 15-second difference between the two editions shows he's running at a similar level, but this time the M25-29 field shaped up as his race to win decisively.

The real story behind Pouzakov is the margin he built. Kyle Gee ran a solid 22:49 (7:21/mi) to claim 2nd, but the gap between winner and runner-up — over three minutes — tells you this wasn't a close contest at the front. From 3rd onward, the race tightened considerably: Coleman (25:38) and De La Torre Cruz (26:23) were separated by 45 seconds, and Jonathan Navarro (5th, 27:16) and Dalton Johnson (6th, 27:22) were just six seconds apart.

The most congested stretch of the race came around 10th place, where Singh, Duff, and Calvillo — all running roughly 9:27/mi — crossed within a two-second window. Brian Cheng (13th, 29:34) and Michael Angelo Noran (14th, 29:40) kept that cluster going just a few ticks back. Martin Barron closed out the top 20 in 35:18 (11:22/mi), with 20 more finishers completing the M25-29 field behind him.
