Todd Simpson and Michael Postaski both made their charges on the back half. Juan Rocha's 6th-place finish in 5:42:37 deserves a second look: he also placed 2nd among men in the Iron Face Challenge, making him one of the busiest competitors in the Broken Arrow weekend. Olivier Francon (Albany, CA, 49) added a similar double, finishing 17th in M40-49 in 6:36:37 while also claiming 3rd among men in the Iron Face Challenge — not bad for the oldest man in the top 20 of this group.
