Women's 25-29: Prendella powers through the heat to take the age group

• Tatiana Prendella won the 25-29 age group in 1:54:44 (8:45/mi), finishing nearly 8 minutes clear of runner-up Danish Majid.
• Prendella posted the 5th-fastest women's split on the 15K-to-finish stretch, her strongest segment of the race.
• The top three were separated by just 9:33, while the field spread across a remarkable 1:44:02 from first to tenth.
• A tight battle for 4th and 5th: Sophia Barrett (2:08:51) and Aniela Tyksinski (2:09:17) were separated by just 26 seconds.

Running through 79°F heat with a 20 mph wind, Tatiana Prendella controlled the 25-29 age group from start to finish. She held a steady 11th-place position among the women through the first 15K, then shifted gears — climbing to 8th among the women by the finish with the 5th-fastest women's split on that closing stretch. That late-race push was the defining move of her day, and at 8:45/mi, she was the only finisher in the group to break 2:00.

Danish Majid and Dana Jordan ran much of the early race in tandem, posting the 8th- and 10th-fastest women's splits respectively on the 5K-to-8K segment. Majid ultimately held on for 2nd in 2:02:21, with Jordan just under two minutes back in 2:04:17. Both faded slightly in the gender standings as the race wore on — Majid slipping from 7th to 10th among the women, Jordan from 8th to 11th — but they had enough banked to lock up the podium.

The race for 4th was the closest battle of the day. Sophia Barrett and Aniela Tyksinski were virtually inseparable, finishing 26 seconds apart after 13.1 miles of racing. Barrett (2:08:51) edged it, with Tyksinski (2:09:17) right on her heels. Beyond them, the field spread out considerably — V Manalo in 6th, Skylar Nichols in 7th, and then a long tail stretching all the way to Chantiera Wortham's 3:39:46 to round out the ten finishers.
