She closed with the 6th-fastest women's split on the 15K-to-finish stretch, meaning she wasn't just surviving the back half — she was still hunting. The real racing happened one tier down. Maria Luevano-Salazar and Ashley Turner were inseparable for most of the morning, both surging through the early 5K–8K segment — Luevano-Salazar with the 17th-fastest women's split on that stretch, Turner with the 16th — and both steadily climbing the women's field.
