Sean Randolph, 74, of Corte Madera, CA, finished in 4:06:42, having run a notably stronger Snow King–to–KT 22 segment than the field around him. Dave Tennant, 71, from Sparks, NV, came home in 4:20:44, showing his best relative speed on the Siberia-to-finish closing stretch — the 211th-fastest split in the field on that segment, a solid push to the line. Randolph ultimately held a 14-minute cushion for 2nd.

All three finishing a Tahoe skyrace at this elevation, at these ages, is the real headline. The course doesn't care about birthdays, and neither did this group.
