Non-Binary 18K: Rohm-Ensing wires it from gun to tape

• Ella Rohm-Ensing (San Francisco, 28) won in 2:30:19 at 13:26/mi, leading at every checkpoint and posting the group's fastest split on the Snow King→KT 22 climb
• Aurélia Taleb-Ahmed took 2nd in 2:39:12, 8:53 back, never budging from 2nd all day
• Hannah Macleod climbed from 4th to 3rd and sealed it with the group's 2nd-fastest Siberia→FINISH split, finishing in 2:45:24
• Lace Zhong, 4th in 3:00:05, arrived with a win already banked — 1st Non-Binary in the 11K

Five finishers took on 16.8K of Tahoe skyline between roughly 6,200 and 8,000 feet, where thin air and a 17 mph wind made every climb cost more. Nobody handled it better than Ella Rohm-Ensing. She held 1st at every checkpoint, and on the Snow King→KT 22 section — the kind of stretch where the altitude bites hardest — she laid down the fastest split in the group. Her 2:30:19 at 13:26/mi was never seriously threatened.

Aurélia Taleb-Ahmed ran the steadiest race of anyone chasing, locked into 2nd from the first split to the last, and backed it with the group's 2nd-fastest Snow King→KT 22 effort. Her 2:39:12 kept the winner honest without ever closing the gap.

The real movement came behind her. Hannah Macleod started the day 4th, moved past Lace Zhong by the second checkpoint, and then slammed the door with the 2nd-fastest closing split from Siberia to the finish — 2:45:24 for 3rd, 6:12 behind Taleb-Ahmed.

Zhong's 4th place in 3:00:05 tells only half their story: they came into this 18K having already won the Non-Binary title in the 11K at this same event. Racing — and placing — twice in one Broken Arrow weekend is the kind of double that deserves its own applause. Sara Chacon rounded out the podium chase in 5th at 3:22:43, grinding through more than three hours of high-altitude trail from start to finish.
