She entered the Snow King→Finish segment sitting 9th among women and finished 14th — but within her own field, that closing leg was the sharpest of the podium group, her 26th-fastest women's split there putting distance between her and everyone chasing.

Emily Schmitz, making the trip from Wauwatosa, WI, earned 2nd in 35:07, moving from 40th to 37th among women on that final segment with the 36th-fastest women's closing split.
