His 5th-fastest men's closing split (20M–Finish) couldn't quite reel in Hough but was more than enough to secure 2nd in M30-34 at 2:30:47. Third went to Anamacio Cardenas Jr (2:36:58), who was the quiet mover of the podium — steadily advancing from 12th among men at the start to 9th by the finish on the strength of a sharp 16.2M–20M segment.

The most dramatic trajectory in the top ten belonged to Charlie Mitchell. He was buried 26th among men at the first checkpoint, and still 22nd heading into the final 10K — then unleashed the 7th-fastest men's closing split to surge to 13th overall among men and 4th in M30-34 at 2:39:59.
