• 23-second gap to 2nd: Lindsey Schmidt crossed in 19:22 (6:14/mi), with Lili Meng just 10 seconds further back in 19:32 (6:17/mi).
• 12-year-olds in the top 10: I. Roman (Clovis, CA) finished 6th in 20:36, and C. Ryan and K. White (both Lafayette, CA) placed 9th and 10th in 21:59 and 22:21 respectively.
• Top-4 all under 19:40: The podium plus Allyson Ahlstrom (4th, 19:40) formed a tight lead pack before a 30-second jump back to 5th.

On a cool, humid March morning along Napa's out-and-back course, Ashley Blackburn of Indianapolis delivered the decisive performance of the women's race. Her 18:59 — a 6:07/mi clip — was the only sub-19-minute effort in the women's field, and she built a 23-second cushion over runner-up Lindsey Schmidt of Mountain View. Schmidt (19:22, 6:14/mi) and Lili Meng of San Francisco (3rd, 19:32, 6:17/mi) ran their own close battle, separated by just 10 seconds, while Allyson Ahlstrom of Sausalito (4th, 19:40, 6:20/mi) kept the lead pack honest right to the end. After Ahlstrom, Kelsey Mchugh (5th, 20:10) marked a clear 30-second step back to the rest of the field.

One of the more striking storylines came from the younger end of the field. I. Roman, just 12 years old from Clovis, CA, ran 20:36 to claim 6th — ahead of veterans Rose Huang (7th, 21:00) and Katherine Lowe (8th, 21:09). Two more 12-year-olds, C. Ryan and K. White, both from Lafayette, rounded out the top 10 in 21:59 and 22:21. The Lafayette contingent didn't stop there: Lucy Lateiner (14, 13th, 22:59), R. Hoffman (11, 14th, 23:08), S. Sturtz (12, 16th, 23:53), and Kristen Lateiner (48, 19th, 24:07) all made their presence felt across the age spectrum — a reminder that this Kiwanis Club-organized race draws a genuinely community-wide crowd, with proceeds flowing right back into the Napa Valley.
