• Krista Robertson, 58, wins in 27:22 (8:49/mi) — more than five minutes clear of the field.

Krista Robertson of Vacaville made this race her own from the start. Her 27:22 finish at 8:49/mi wasn't just a win — it was a statement, leaving a gap of 5:19 to second place in a 23-woman field. At 58, she ran the kind of race that makes the rest of the field feel like they were competing for silver.

Behind her, Pamela Pruett (32:41, 10:31/mi) held off Napa neighbor Julia Huberty (33:50, 10:53/mi) to claim second. Pruett's pace advantage of roughly 22 seconds per mile over Huberty was enough to keep that 1:09 cushion intact at the line. Ying He finished 4th in 36:20, with Sandy Situ (37:24) and Inna Lutohina (38:14) rounding out the top six within a tight 50-second window.

The most dramatic cluster of the morning came near the back of the listed field, where Amie Hassler, Holly Shelton, and Asha Nivison — all from the Franklin/Madison, TN corridor — crossed within a two-second window: 55:43, 55:44, and 55:45. Three athletes, separated by a single second each, running 17:56–17:57/mi pace on a cool, humid Napa morning. The Kiwanis Club's out-and-back course gave every one of the 23 finishers a clear look at where they stood — and those three made the most of the company.
