Nathan Deeter ran away from this race early and never looked back. Sitting 97th among women after the first mile, he held his position through the middle miles and finished 119th among women — a controlled, confident effort at 5:44/mi that left a full 63 seconds between him and the rest of the M45-49 podium. The battle for 2nd was a genuine tactical contrast. Hunter Spence came through the opening mile 175th among women, then surged hard — climbing all the way to 131st by mile 3.
