• Diego Espinosa, 65, closed hardest of any M60-69 finisher, running the 38th-fastest men's split on the Owens→Finish stretch to lock up 4th in 101:17:10.
• Lee Willett rounded out the five finishers in 104:08:55, posting the 45th-fastest men's split on Chain of Lakes→Klickitat despite fading through the back half.

Bryan Paisley's win was never really in question, but what made it remarkable was how he got there. Starting conservatively — he sat 73rd among men at the first checkpoint — Paisley surged dramatically, climbing as high as 36th in the men's field at one point across 200 miles of Cascade volcanic terrain, lava fields, and old-growth forest. His 20th-fastest men's split on the Klickitat→Twin Sisters segment tells you this wasn't a survival shuffle; he was genuinely racing. He crossed in 82:08:32, a performance that stood nearly a full day clear of anyone else in the M60-69 field.

Behind him, the race for second was a slow-burn contest between David Bushroe and Peter Livingstone. Diego Espinosa made the long haul from Phoenix to the Cascades count, finishing 4th in 101:17:10 and saving his best running for last — his 38th-fastest men's split on the Owens→Finish stretch was the sharpest closing move in the M60-69 field. Lee Willett completed the group in 104:08:55, having battled a difficult middle section before steadying out through the final legs. Five finishers.
