Lauren Van Allen, 45, from McKinney, TX, didn't just win the Masters women's field — she put a statement on it. Her 2:57:17, at a 6:46/mi clip, was a sub-three-hour performance on a day that punished anyone who went out too hard or dressed too light. She sat 3rd among all women through the early miles, and while she briefly climbed to 2nd in the women's field from 10K onward, she ultimately settled back to 3rd among women by the finish — still an exceptional position in the full women's race. Her 5K–10K split was the 2nd-fastest women's split of that segment in the entire field, a sign she was already moving through the pack with intent. Yanmei Morales, 50, of Midlothian, TX, backed her up in 2nd at 3:17:42 (7:32/mi), running the 31K–36K segment as the 30th-fastest women's split on that stretch and climbing from 38th among women to 29th by the tape — a strong negative-split push in the back half.

The battle for 3rd through 5th was one of the most compelling sub-plots of the morning. Lindsey Hartman (3:32:00, 8:05/mi) and Guirong Wood (3:32:17, 8:06/mi) finished just 17 seconds apart, but they earned those spots by running entirely different races. Hartman, of Newalla, OK, was a relentless climber — entering the women's field at 127th and grinding all the way to 72nd by the finish, with the 53rd-fastest women's split on the 31K–36K segment helping seal her 3rd-place result. Wood, of Round Rock, TX, took a different path: she faded from 90th to 106th in the women's field through the middle miles before rallying with the 51st-fastest women's split on the 36K–Finish stretch to claw back to 75th among women and claim 4th. Holly Street, meanwhile, ran the 27th-fastest women's 5K–10K split and sat 27th among women at that checkpoint — but the cold and wind exacted their toll, and she faded to 78th among women by the finish, ending up 5th in the Masters field at 3:32:50.

Juliana Martins (6th, 3:34:15), Colleen Casey (7th, 3:34:45), and Elizabeth Vachon (8th, 3:36:05) rounded out a tightly packed middle tier, with just under two minutes separating them. Kelly Dorsey (10th, 3:38:50) and Colleen Marsh (9th, 3:38:08) — both of Mansfield, TX — crossed within 42 seconds of each other, a local rivalry worth watching. All told, 276 Masters women finished what was, by any measure, a demanding day to race 26.2 miles through the streets of Dallas.
