Kendall Harrell of Wilmington, NC controlled the F15-19 race from the front, running 6:32 per mile across the full 15K to finish in 1:00:57 — a 1:33 margin over second place. Her women's gender position held steady at 36th from the 10K mark to the finish, backed by the 39th-fastest women's split on that final 10K-to-finish stretch, a strong closing effort in the 82% humidity.

The real surge story belongs to Salma Moumen of Canton, NY. Running the middle 5K-to-10K segment as the 44th-fastest among women, Moumen climbed from 62nd to 47th in the women's field by the finish — catching and passing runners in the back half to lock up 2nd place in 1:02:30 at 6:42/mi. Meanwhile, Zoe Seeley of Schenectady ran the opposite arc: she sat 34th among women at the 5K mark but faded to 54th by the finish, her 5K-to-10K split ranking 56th among women. Still, she held on for 3rd in 1:03:05 — Moumen's catch-up run was the story of that battle, with 35 seconds ultimately separating them.
