Edwards had been climbing steadily all race, gaining over 230 spots in the women's field from her 10K position to the line. Behind them, Ailing Wang (3:28:17), Ann Roberts (3:30:08), and Jenny Kinder (3:30:56) rounded out the top nine within a two-minute window, reflecting just how competitive the middle of this age group ran on a crisp Sacramento morning.
