On a humid, blustery May morning in Cleveland, Dolores Manhoff of Medina, Ohio did something simple and impressive in equal measure: she started, she ran, and she finished. At 79 years old, she covered the full 10K in 1:14:40 — a 12:01-per-mile pace held through 83% humidity and a 15 mph headwind that made the lakefront course anything but easy.
