Grace Coutsoftides (Ladera Ranch, 14) and Siena Therriault (Carlsbad, 13) ran nearly the entire race in lockstep — Coutsoftides finished 4th in 2:07:28, Therriault 5th in 2:07:44. Both athletes made significant moves in the final leg: Coutsoftides posted the 466th-fastest women's split on that stretch, Therriault the 487th, and both climbed well over 100 spots in the women's field during that closing push. The 16-second gap between them was the result of two athletes digging deep on the same stretch of Long Beach shoreline.

Sofia Felix (6th, 2:11:09), Ava Hendricks (7th, 2:13:57), and Isabella Juarez (8th, 2:15:18) each completed the half in under 2:16, with the remaining six finishers — from Jaylene Moscoso's 2:24:46 through Joanna Megallon's 3:52:35 — all earning their medals on a cool, clear October morning in Long Beach.
