• Podium gap: Anna Cherian (2nd, 2:56:23) and Krystyna Rytel (3rd, 2:58:13) were separated by 1:50, while Rytel and Angela Caloia (4th, 2:58:48) were just 35 seconds apart.
• Late-race fireworks at the front: Rytel (3rd-fastest women's split, 40K–Finish) and Caloia (4th, 2nd-fastest women's split on the same segment) both flew home — but Shatz had already built enough of a cushion to hold them off.

She entered the women's top 20 somewhere around the halfway mark, but the real move came late: her 2nd-fastest women's split on the 35K–40K stretch vaulted her from 21st to 14th among women and sealed the F20-24 title at 2:55:01, a 6:41/mi average that no one in this field could match.

Anna Cherian (2:56:23, 6:44/mi) ran a composed, consistent race, holding between 19th and 25th among women for much of the middle stretch before closing strongly — her 7th-fastest women's split on 30K–35K helped her lock up 2nd with a 1:22 margin over Rytel. Krystyna Rytel (2:58:13, 6:48/mi) saved her best for last, posting the 3rd-fastest women's split on the 40K-to-finish segment to edge past Angela Caloia (2:58:48, 6:49/mi), who answered with the 2nd-fastest women's split on that same closing stretch. Two runners throwing their fastest miles at each other in the final kilometers — with just 35 seconds deciding 3rd and 4th.

The cautionary tale of the race belonged to Pustilnik (5th, 2:58:54). She was running in the top ten among women as late as 30K, but the final stretch cost her dearly — she dropped nine spots among women in the closing kilometers to finish 5th in F20-24. Behind the top five, Jamie Blaylock (6th, 3:02:26) and Karly Forker (7th, 3:02:56) rounded out a competitive lead pack, with 829 more finishers completing the F20-24 field in this no-prize-money People's Marathon.
