The 36-year-old from Wynnwood, PA ran 40:41 at a 6:33/mi clip — a pace that put a minute and a half of clear air between her and the rest of F35-39. She also had legs left in the second half, posting the 6th-fastest women's split from 5K to the finish and moving from 8th to 6th among all women on that closing stretch. In a 288-runner F35-39 field on a breezy 60°F San Francisco morning, that was a commanding wire-to-wire statement.

Dani Dellarco, 35, from Martinez, held her ground in 2nd with a 42:13 (6:48/mi), never wavering from 11th in the women's standings. The gap back to the podium's third step was significant — Erin Fan's 47:26 sat more than five minutes behind Dellarco — but that bronze spot had its own drama. Fan (37, San Francisco) and Catherine Lee (35, Mountain View) were virtually inseparable at the line, Fan crossing in 47:26 and Lee in 47:28. The two seconds between them masked a real tactical difference: Lee ran the second half faster, climbing from 25th to 22nd among women, while Fan faded one spot to 21st.

Just outside the podium, Ryan Hand (5th, 48:36) and Amy Liu (6th, 48:49) rounded out a tight cluster, separated by 13 seconds. Hand was particularly strong in the back half, using the 26th-fastest women's closing split to move from 33rd to 28th in the women's standings. Further back, Megan O'Neill (7th, 52:23) and Jocelyn Ye (8th, 52:43) led a competitive mid-pack, with 19 named finishers — and 268 more — completing F35-39 on a day when the Golden Gate wind made every second earned.
