F35-39 at UTMB Ultra Trail: Meignié dominates as the field battles through the night

• Alice Meignié, 22:30:34 — won the F35-39 field and finished 2nd among all women, running 14:59/mi across 145 km and 9,500 m of climbing.
• Christine Selman, 25:44:44 — 2nd in F35-39, more than 3 hours back, but posted the 4th-fastest women's split on La Thuile–Petit Saint Bernard→Séez.
• Marta Debska, 32:56:52 — 3rd in F35-39, climbing from 48th to 22nd among all women over the course of the race — the field's most dramatic upward surge.
• Thisbé Delattre, 34:20:20 — 4th in F35-39, also a major mover: from 51st to 28th among women, with the 11th-fastest women's split on the Bellevue→Les Houches segment.

Alice Meignié ran a race that stood apart from the rest of the F35-39 field from the very first hours. Starting the night climb out of Courmayeur, she tracked between 3rd and 4th among all women through the early checkpoints before pushing into 2nd — a position she held through the final three checkpoints all the way into Chamonix. Her fastest women's split on La Gittaz→Entre deux Nants was the clearest signal that she was running her own race at a level the field could not match, finishing in 22:30:34 at a 14:59/mi average on one of UTMB week's most technical courses.

Christine Selman settled into a composed, consistent effort through the mountains. She moved steadily through the women's field from 10th to 9th, and her 4th-fastest women's split on La Thuile–Petit Saint Bernard→Séez showed real strength on that particular stretch. At 25:44:44 — nearly 3:15 behind Meignié — she claimed a clear 2nd in F35-39.

The most compelling subplot behind the podium belonged to Marta Debska and Thisbé Delattre. Debska ran one of the great forward surges in the field: 48th among women at the first checkpoint, she reeled in competitor after competitor through the night and the Beaufortain, arriving in Chamonix 22nd among women in 32:56:52. Delattre was equally relentless — 51st among women early, she powered to 28th by the finish in 34:20:20, with the 11th-fastest women's split on Bellevue→Les Houches underscoring where she made her biggest move.

The back half of the F35-39 field told its own story of grit across the 87% humidity and thin mountain air. Mathilde Cottel (5th, 35:05:56), Claire Lurot (6th, 35:08:52), and Judith Bouchain (7th, 35:15:21) finished within ten minutes of each other after more than 35 hours on course. Chihiro Morishima (12th, 41:59:41) and Xiaolei Fu (13th, 42:39:20) rounded out a 13-finisher field in which every athlete who started made it to Chamonix — no small feat on UTMB's most technical race.
