She finished 3rd in 1:22:39, catching Marah Borgman (5th, 1:22:54) and Erin Shyong (6th, 1:24:21), who both ran strong races but couldn't match Goldak's late momentum.

Anne Marie Haehner, 44, from Miami finished 4th in 1:24:48, though her trajectory told a different story — she was 62nd among women at the halfway point and slipped to 93rd by the finish, fading as others around her accelerated. The cluster of Shyong (1:24:21), Haehner (1:24:48), and Joelle Reeves (7th, 1:24:52) made for a tightly contested fight for spots five through seven, all within 31 seconds. Further back, triathlon icon Mirinda Carfrae, 44 from Boulder, rounded out the top ten in 1:28:23 (6:45/mi) in 8th.
