From mile 10.9 to the finish line, she unleashed the fastest women's split of anyone in the field, sweeping from 5th to 2nd to ultimately 1st and crossing in 1:21:47 at a 6:14/mi clip. Jessica Nunez gave chase with real conviction. The Oakland runner held 6th among women through the opening miles, then steadily worked her way forward, running the 3rd-fastest women's second-half split in the field to claim 2nd in F30-34 at 1:25:47. Rebecca Wheeler of San Francisco rounded out the podium in 1:27:33, having posted the 6th-fastest women's split through the 5M-to-10.9M middle stretch — a strong mid-race engine that kept her in contention throughout.

The story off the podium belonged to Martina Festoli. The Olgiate Comasco runner was buried in 23rd among women at mile five, but she never stopped moving forward. By the 10.9-mile mark she was 13th, and her 5th-fastest women's closing split carried her all the way to 10th among women and 4th in F30-34 at 1:31:00 — the most relentless climb of the day. Caitlin Murdock (5th, 1:32:45) and Stephanie Smith (6th, 1:33:38) rounded out a competitive top six that spanned just over 11 minutes from first to sixth.
