Behind him, Rob McNair and Randy Robertson ran their own quiet battle. McNair posted the stronger middle segment — his men's position improved sharply from 205th to 197th on the HALF→11.05 Mile stretch — before fading back to 210th at the finish, a sign that Robertson, who ran more evenly, couldn't quite reel him in.
