Shannon Bueker came to Napa with a race to run, and she ran it on her terms. Starting the day 9th among women, she slipped back to 12th through the first major checkpoint — but then she started hunting. By the halfway mark she had surged to 7th among women, a position she held all the way to the finish. The knockout blow came in those final 6.2 miles, where she posted the 5th-fastest women's closing split in the entire field. At a 6:39/mi average, Bueker's 2:54:10 is a commanding Masters Women win.

Devon Yanko, 42, was the early aggressor. She was 4th among women through both the opening stretch and the 6.2M mark, running the 5th-fastest women's split on that middle segment — a genuine show of strength. But the back half told a different story: she slipped to 11th among women before recovering to 8th at the line. Her 2:56:50 is a well-earned silver, even if the closing miles belonged to Bueker.

Christy Aish, 47, mirrored Yanko's trajectory — strong through the middle (8th-fastest women's split on the 6.2M–13.1M leg), then a gradual fade from 6th to 15th among women. She still crossed in 2:59:54 at 6:52/mi, good for 3rd in Masters Women. Right behind her, Danielle Bisho of San Francisco told the opposite story: patient and methodical, she climbed from 22nd to 16th among women across 26.2 miles along the Silverado Trail, finishing 4th in 3:00:13 — just 19 seconds off the podium.

Rounding out the top six, Becca Pizzi (3:08:17) and Sarah Evans (3:09:01) finished 5th and 6th respectively, separated by less than a minute. Verity Breen, 58, deserves a special mention: 10th in Masters Women at 3:19:51, she was among the oldest finishers near the top of this 199-woman field and ran every step of it at 7:37/mi.
