• Virginia Brooks (55, Hull, GA) finished 2nd — and she didn't stop there: Brooks also raced the 5K, finishing 10th among women in that event, making her one of the busiest competitors of the day.
• Diane Palkert (58, Aitkin, MN) rounded out the podium in 3rd, with Debra Shone and Julie Nidiffer close behind — 4th through 5th were separated by less than 1:25.
