Li Yi ran a commanding race from start to finish. His gender place tells the story of a controlled but powerful effort — moving from 37th among men at the first checkpoint all the way up to 20th by the penultimate split before settling 22nd at the finish. That forward momentum, sustained across 13.1 miles of San Francisco's demanding course in cool, damp 54°F conditions, produced a winning time of 1:29:46 at a 6:51/mi clip — a margin that was never seriously threatened.

Mufaro Chivasa ran a solid and consistent race to claim second in 1:33:37 (7:08/mi), posting the 37th-fastest split in the men's field on the 2.2M–5.7M segment and holding his position steadily through the second half. Vishal Ahuja rounded out the podium in 1:35:35 (7:17/mi), picking up ground in the back half — his gender place improved from 87th to 76th — with the 53rd-fastest split in the field on the 6.43M–8.3M stretch helping him pull clear of fourth.

Scott Olenski ran the opposite arc: starting strong at 87th among men but fading to 108th by the finish (1:37:47), while Qiu Fang surged late with the 88th-fastest split in the field on that same 6.43M–8.3M segment to nearly reel him in — ultimately claiming 5th in 1:39:50. Gang Chen was right on his heels in 6th at 1:39:59, just 9 seconds back after 13.1 miles. Further down, Christopher Gallo (7th, 1:40:49) and Diego Velasquez (8th, 1:43:25) rounded out a competitive top ten, with Daniel Bannon (9th, 1:45:04) and Arun Thakur (10th, 1:45:49) closing the group.
