Shuqing Liu of Sunnyvale put on a masterclass in progressive racing across San Francisco's demanding 13.1 miles. Starting conservatively — 109th among women through the opening checkpoint — she was already moving: 47th by the halfway point, 40th shortly after, and relentlessly climbing through the field until she crossed in 1:42:20 at 7:48/mi. That final leg to the finish was her punctuation mark, posting the 16th-fastest women's split on the 11.05M→Finish stretch. The win wasn't close.

Michelle Domier, 56, made the trip from New Braunfels, TX count, running herself into second place with a sharp middle segment — her 5.34M→6.15M split ranked 57th among all women — and finishing in 1:46:59 at 8:10/mi, 4:39 behind Liu. Julia Wang, 59, of Fremont rounded out the podium in 1:49:32 (8:21/mi), showing real late-race punch with the 40th-fastest women's split on the 10.54M→11.05M segment, even as her overall women's position dipped slightly in the closing miles.

Nicole Garba, 55, took fourth in 1:53:43, and Martina Steffen, also 55, rounded out the top five in 1:59:19 — the only finisher in the top five to crack the two-hour barrier from the wrong side. Behind them, the F55-59 field was tightly packed: Huijie Tang (6th, 2:01:46), Erica Nierth (7th, 2:03:42), and Kali Zivitz (8th, 2:03:49) all finished within two minutes of each other. Across 125 finishers, this group brought serious competition to the streets of San Francisco.
