Malakai Benson set the tone from the gun, establishing herself among the women's field and never relinquishing it. After moving to 9th among women by the 1.81M mark, she locked into that position and held it clean through the finish — a steady, controlled effort at 10:24/mi that no one in the NB30-34 field could match. Her 9th-fastest women's split on the 1.81M–5.34M segment was the sharpest showing of any NB30-34 athlete on a single leg, and it came early enough to make the outcome feel settled well before the Bay.

Chris Cummins ran a composed race of her own, gradually working her way through the women's field from 14th to 13th between the 5.34M and 6.15M marks — that segment also her best, clocking the 12th-fastest women's split in the field. She finished in 2:28:15 at 11:19/mi, a pace nearly a minute and a half per mile slower than Benson's, which tells the real story of the gap between first and second.

Susana Villalvazo, at 30 the youngest of the three, held a steady 16th among women from start to finish at 13:07/mi. She never wavered from that position, and she saved something for the end — her 14th-fastest women's split on the 11.05M–Finish segment was a strong close to a consistent day. Her final time of 2:51:53 completed a three-woman NB30-34 field that spanned more than 35 minutes from front to back.
