Theresa Wood of Hazel Green, AL, made this one look controlled from the gun. Her 52:42 — an 8:29/mi clip — was a full 1:04 ahead of Nashville's Meredith Wells, and the gap only widened from there. Emily Plumlee of Huntsville came home third in 58:48, nearly five minutes further back, which tells you just how decisive the front of this race was. Behind the top two, the middle of the F40-44 field was a different story — a genuine pack race.
