Rebecca Ramirez, the youngest in the field at 20, made the F20-24 race look straightforward from Russellville. Her 26:59 finish at 8:41/mi left runner-up Emily Vasquez of Huntsville more than two and a half minutes back at 29:31. That gap — 2:32 — tells the whole story at the front: Ramirez was in a different gear.

Behind Vasquez, the race tightened considerably. Katie Croushorn (Hoover) held off Radhika Patel (Madison) by the slimmest margin of the day — a single second separating 3rd from 4th. Maycie Merritt, the lone out-of-stater from Cincinnati, was right there at 35:13, meaning three runners finished within 17 seconds of each other for the final podium spot and the place just off it.

The back half of the field spread out steadily from Maggie Cortes (36:21) through Sydney Rentfrow (40:46), with each finisher adding roughly a minute or more to the gap. Riddhi Patel and Regan Haider rounded out the 13-woman group at 45:00 and 54:52 respectively, with Haider's 17:40/mi pace suggesting a challenging finish on what was a mild but breezy December morning in Huntsville.
