• Ellen Ortis claimed second in 1:56:00, while Tiffany Bierman and Ashley Wells were separated by just eight seconds — 2:08:04 to 2:08:12 — for the third and fourth spots.
• Wells posted the stronger finish of that pair, running the 49th-fastest 10K→Finish split among women to Bierman's 56th, making up ground in the back half despite finishing just behind.
• At the back of the field, Michelle Dunson and Amber Barker finished within a single second of each other — 3:30:27 to 3:30:28 — to close out the 16-finisher group.

Christine Adolf turned in the dominant performance of the F35-39 age group on a warm, breezy December morning in Huntsville — 70°F and 17 mph winds are not what most runners picture for a December race in Alabama, and the conditions showed in the times across the board. Adolf ran 8:19 per mile from start to finish and moved from 21st to 16th among all women over the final 10K, adding the 13th-fastest women's 10K→Finish split in the field as an exclamation point. The gap to second place was 6:59 — a commanding margin that left little drama at the top.

Ellen Ortis held second comfortably in 1:56:00, though her 10K→Finish split told a story of a slightly tougher finish — she slipped from 27th to 30th among women over the back portion of the course. Still, her 8:51/mi average was well clear of the rest of the age group, and second place was never seriously threatened.

The real battle of the day was for the final podium spot. Tiffany Bierman of Huntsville crossed in 2:08:04 and Ashley Wells of Madison, Alabama in 2:08:12 — eight seconds after more than two hours of racing. Notably, Wells actually ran the faster closing split of the two, posting the 49th-fastest women's 10K→Finish split compared to Bierman's 56th, but Bierman's earlier cushion proved just enough. It was the tightest finish in the F35-39 field, and one of the better closing duels of the morning.
