His margin of victory wasn't a sprint gap; it was a statement.

Behind him, the battle for 2nd and 3rd was genuinely gripping. Vicente Rivera of Huntsville and Jonathan Childs of Brentwood, TN both crossed in 1:56:12 and 1:56:14 respectively — two seconds apart after 13.1 miles.
