Her 13:35/mi average across a course that ranges up to nearly 9,000 feet elevation is a controlled, purposeful effort. The clincher was the Waterfall→Finish stretch, where she posted the 3rd-fastest women's split in the field, pulling clear of any late challengers and sealing a 14-minute margin.

The real drama in the F20-29 race played out behind her. Szulc and Goodwin were locked in a battle that only resolved in the final meters — 7 seconds separating 2nd from 3rd after more than seven hours of racing. Goodwin was the more aggressive mover early, surging from 15th to 8th among women after the first major segment before drifting back to 13th, then clawing back to 8th by the finish. She also ran the 4th-fastest women's split on the Kick Ash→Snow Valley Peak segment. Szulc, meanwhile, moved more steadily — 13th to 7th among women across the race — and closed with the 6th-fastest women's split on Waterfall→Finish. Goodwin caught up enough to make it a photo finish; Szulc held on.
