Junaline Gines of San Francisco controlled the F40-44 race from start to finish, and she didn't let up late. Her 7:25/mi average was the sharpest in the field, and she backed it up with the 17th-fastest women's closing split from 4.62 miles to the finish — meaning she was still pushing hard when it counted. She crossed in 46:02, and no one in the field came close to matching that combination of pace and finish-line strength.

Karman Guadagni of Oakland ran a composed 46:30 to claim 2nd, just 28 seconds off the win. Both she and Gines moved up in the women's standings over the second half of the race — Gines from 19th to 17th among women, Guadagni from 23rd to 22nd — a sign that both were reeling in runners ahead of them while the clock was still running. Victoria Woo, also of San Francisco, came home 3rd in 47:51, moving from 35th to 33rd among women on that same closing stretch.

Chrystal Keller of Clayton completed a tight lead pack with a 49:05, and the top four all finishing under 50 minutes made for a genuinely competitive front end in this field. After Keller, Sviatlana Chebatar of San Mateo was 5th in 50:43 — but notably, her closing split ranked 66th among women, a fade that allowed the runners ahead to extend their margins late. Behind her, Priya Merrill (51:14), Aarti Shetty (51:23), and Grace Frary (51:26) finished in a tight cluster spanning just 12 seconds across 6th, 7th, and 8th.
