B.A.A. 10K F70-74: Jan Brett Wins at 74 in Boston Heat

Jan Brett, the oldest athlete in the F70-74 field at 74, ran the most controlled race of the day. Her gender place did drift from 1,808th at 5K to 1,893rd by 8K, suggesting the heat took a toll on the middle miles, but the margin she'd already banked was more than enough. The real drama played out just behind her. Melinda Hedding and Claudia Wolfe ran nearly identical races in aggregate, but they got there differently.
