The conditions were no gift — 70°F with 17 mph winds and thick humidity of 76% made for a slog in the back half of the course. Kopp pushed through it regardless, completing the distance and claiming every point on the M70-74 podium by default, though the effort required to cover 13.1 miles at 70 in that heat deserves acknowledgment on its own terms.
