On a cold, crisp Napa morning — 36°F with barely a breath of wind — Angela Chen ran away from the F25-29 field from the start. Her 18:58 finish at 6:06/mi was in a class of its own, and Molly Templin, the Anchorage runner who clocked 19:08 at 6:10/mi, was the only one who came close to keeping pace. That 10-second margin between first and second was tight in absolute terms, but with the rest of the field nearly four minutes behind, Chen and Templin were essentially racing in their own private contest at the front.

Amy Lyden claimed 3rd in 23:04 (7:25/mi), with Vienna Barnett just nine seconds back in 4th at 23:13. Maleana Raymond — a local Napa runner — rounded out the top five in 23:56, followed closely by Maria Diaz De Leon Derby in 6th at 24:01. Those four athletes between 23:04 and 24:01 formed the race's most competitive cluster, separated by less than a minute across four finishers.

Further down the leaderboard, the battle for 12th produced one of the tightest finishes of the day. Vita Wilson (San Francisco) and Elizabeth Ryan (San Francisco) both clocked 27:50, but the timing system separated them — Wilson in 12th, Ryan in 13th. Just behind them, Christine Lane (14th, 28:21) led a string of runners in the 28-minute range, with Jacqueline Frappia (15th, 28:35), Marissa Wise (16th, 28:36), and Amber Ellis (17th, 28:37) finishing within two seconds of each other. All 43 finishers braved the chill to complete the course, capping a lively morning in the F25-29 field.
