Behind the podium, Palazzo (4th, 1:25:06, 6:30/mi) and Turner (5th, 1:26:47, 6:37/mi) ran a race of their own, separated by 1:41 but well clear of the field behind them. Gudgeirsson's 6th-place 1:31:06 opened a gap of more than four minutes to Turner, marking a clear break between the front five and the rest of the 631-strong masters field. Further back, the competition stayed lively — Mercado (9th, 1:34:32), Parvanian (10th, 1:35:22), and Frindell Teuscher (11th, 1:35:32) were separated by just one minute across three spots.
