Betty Murray, 42, held 14th among women through the early miles before fading to 22nd by the finish — her 22nd-fastest Mile 4–Mile 10 split among women reflecting a tough middle stretch. Michelle Vannelli, 46, and Sarah Schrader, 45, ran each other into the ground, both crossing in 2:07:19 at 9:43/mi, with timing chips awarding Vannelli 5th by the narrowest of margins. Behind them, Nicole Mui (2:09:12), Erin Knight (2:09:56), and Sarah Johnston (2:10:01) packed into a tight 49-second window for 7th through 9th — three athletes, less than a minute, all earning it on a warm Folsom morning.
