Haijuan Sun, a 52-year-old running on home turf in San Francisco, delivered the most commanding performance of the F50-54 race. Her 29:19 finish at 9:26/mi was the class of a 46-finisher field, and her 49-second margin over second place was never seriously threatened. Fellow San Franciscan Christine Law ran a solid 30:08 at 9:42/mi to claim the silver, a pace meaningfully slower than Sun's — Law had to work to hold off the chase, not to close the gap ahead.

The real drama played out from third through sixth, where four athletes from Redwood City, Europe, Irvine, and Novato converged in a 60-second window between 32:05 and 33:05. Farina Young of Redwood City took third in 32:05, while Nathalie Tamone — racing all the way from Versoix — finished fourth in 32:44. Ju-Pei Yen (32:57) and Dana Dodson (33:05) pressed close behind, making that stretch of the results one of the most competitive in the field.

Oakland's Jennifer Walker, at 50 the youngest competitor in the top seven, finished seventh in 33:10 — just five seconds behind Dodson and a strong showing at the front edge of this age group. Further back, the field spread across a wide range of efforts, with Kathryn Warren rounding out the listed top 20 at 43:43, and 26 more finishers completing the 46-woman field on a cool, overcast San Francisco morning.
