• Ranyelle Ramos, 1:32:34 (7:04/mi): surged from 22nd to 3rd among all women on her way to winning F40-44 outright, posting the fastest women's split on the 6.62M–7.12M segment.
• Podium gap: Kayla Kielar ran 1:36:16 for 2nd, Sarah LaRocca 1:37:07 for 3rd — just 51 seconds separating them, but nearly four minutes back of Ramos.
• Late charge: Mira Olson entered the final stretch ranked 49th among women and finished 42nd, clocking the 17th-fastest women's split on the 10.65M–Finish leg to claim 5th in F40-44 at 1:43:07.
• Close finish at the back of the top 20: Laura Winters and Laura Brandner both crossed in 1:57:51 (8:59/mi) — same displayed time, different places — with Winters edging 16th by the narrowest of margins over Brandner in 17th.

Ranyelle Ramos, 44, from Manteca, didn't just win F40-44 — she tore through the entire women's field to do it. She began the race sitting 22nd among all women, methodically climbing through the pack before igniting on the short 6.62M–7.12M stretch, where she posted the fastest women's split of anyone in the race. By the finish she had risen to 3rd among all women, crossing in 1:32:34 at a 7:04/mi clip — a margin of nearly four minutes over the rest of F40-44.

Behind her, Kayla Kielar (1:36:16, 2nd) and Sarah LaRocca (1:37:07, 3rd) ran a tighter battle for the podium's lower steps. Kielar, 41, from Redwood City, held her position steadily through the second half, posting the 13th-fastest women's split on the 7.12M–10.65M segment. LaRocca, 40, running on home turf in San Francisco, was even sharper on that same stretch — 12th-fastest — and moved from 21st to 13th among all women by the finish. The 51-second gap between them tells the story of a real contest for silver and bronze.

Melissa Wei rounded out the top four in 1:41:44, climbing from 62nd to 32nd among all women across the race. The biggest mover of the day, though, was Mira Olson: she was 199th among women at the first checkpoint, worked her way steadily forward, and then unleashed the 17th-fastest women's closing split (10.65M to the finish) to land 5th in F40-44 at 1:43:07 — a climb of more than 150 places in the women's field from her early low point. Ashley Scarborough (1:44:00, 6th) and Mahriah Alf (1:47:01, 7th) rounded out the top seven in a field of 192.
