Sunanda Dhal of Pacifica ran her own consistent race, posting the 14th-fastest women's split on the long 2.13M–6.62M stretch — a nearly four-and-a-half-mile segment where she moved efficiently through the field. She held steady in the mid-teens among women throughout and finished in 2:25:12, averaging 11:05/mi. The 9:47 gap between the two NB40-44 finishers was clear, but both women earned their places against the full women's field on a demanding San Francisco course.
