On a cool, humid San Francisco morning — 55°F and 89% humidity with a light breeze off the bay — Peter Korzelius of Huizen set the pace that no one in the M70-74 field could match. His 32:01 finish at 10:18/mi was the class of the group, and the 1:14 margin he built over Jairo Bueno of Walnut Creek tells a clean story: Korzelius ran away from this race early and never looked back.

Bueno was the only one who came close, crossing in 33:15 at 10:42/mi to take a solid 2nd.
