Lia Lombardo was in a class of her own on a warm, breezy December morning in Huntsville — 70°F with 17 mph winds and 76% humidity made for tough conditions, and her 9:33/mi pace through all of it was the clear standout performance in the F30-34 age group. The Madison, AL runner crossed in 29:41, the only finisher in the group to break 30 minutes, and she never looked challenged.

Behind her, Meghan Mehaffey of Owens Cross Roads held second with a 33:20 (10:44/mi), a comfortable 3:07 clear of Kayla Cechovic (36:27) in third. The podium was locked up well before the back half of the field came through, with Julia Allen (38:27) and Hillary Brooks (40:00) rounding out the top five in a fairly evenly spaced chase pack.
