There was no suspense at the front of the F19 & Under race. Thirteen-year-old Annabel Chung of San Francisco crossed in 45:33 at a 7:20/mi clip — a pace more than 52 seconds per mile faster than runner-up Katelyn Pegg (50:55, 8:12/mi). That 5:22 winning margin is a commanding statement in any field, let alone one featuring athletes up to six years her senior.

Pegg (16, Palo Alto) held 2nd comfortably, finishing 54 seconds clear of Hannah Zhang (3rd, 51:49, 8:20/mi). Behind them, Lilly Schüller (4th, 53:06) and Kaylani Sison (5th, 53:40) rounded out the top five — and Sison's 53:40 at age 8 deserves its own moment of recognition. Running 8:38/mi over 6.2 miles as an eight-year-old, she outpaced 50 other finishers in the field.

The mid-pack delivered its own drama. Andie Liu (6th, 53:59), Kristie Kim (7th, 54:30), and Sophia Zhuang (8th, 54:44) were separated by just 45 seconds across three finishers, while Lauren Krivanec (9th, 55:40) and Setareh Yahaghi (10th, 55:53) stayed tight through the back half of the top ten.

The race's most compressed finish came at positions 16 through 18: Allison Lee (16th, 59:16), Sarah Tran (17th, 59:16), and Chloe Dupin (18th, 59:17) were essentially inseparable — one second covering all three. Nora Liem (20th, 1:00:14), 13 years old like the winner, closed out the top 20 alongside Helen Lu (19th, 1:00:09), with 35 more finishers completing the F19 & Under field behind them.
