SF Marathon 10K — NB25-29: Khan runs away with it

Adiba Khan made the NB25-29 race her own from the start. Her 53:12 — an 8:34/mi clip — put her nearly six minutes ahead of the next finisher in a field of eight, a margin that left no doubt about who owned this race. On a breezy 64°F morning along the San Francisco waterfront, that kind of separation speaks for itself.

Behind Khan, the real competition played out between Jameson Hsu and Aidan Jones. Hsu, representing Berkeley, crossed in 59:10 (9:31/mi) to claim second, with Jones — a fellow San Franciscan — finishing just 45 seconds back in 59:55 (9:39/mi). That gap was tight enough to keep things interesting, but Hsu held on for the runner-up spot.

Jules Fagelson rounded out the podium in 4th — wait, just outside it — finishing 4th in 1:04:44 (10:25/mi), followed closely by Jm Crocetti in 5th at 1:06:30 (10:42/mi). Those two were separated by under two minutes, making theirs the second-closest battle of the day. Isabela Mesquita came in 6th at 1:08:52 and Karan Uppin 7th at 1:11:45, with Micki Rentauskas completing the NB25-29 field in 8th at 1:28:23.
