Shamrock'n 5K F13-15: Eloise White edges a razor-thin finish at the front

• 1st: Eloise White, 14, finishes in 25:06 (8:05/mi) — winning by just 2 seconds over Alexandra Green's 25:08
• Top three in 8 seconds: Sofia Casanova Andrade takes 3rd in 25:14, making the F13-15 podium one of the tightest of the morning
• 4th to 6th: Mia Wong (26:04), Lillian Spinola (26:57), and Claire Hrabe (27:56) round out the top six before a notable gap to the rest of the field
• 23 finishers completed the F13-15 race across a spread from 25:06 to well past 46:00

The F13-15 age group delivered the most compressed finish of any group you'll find on a 5K morning. Eloise White, 14, from Sacramento crossed in 25:06 to claim the win — but she had to hold off Alexandra Green, also 13 and also from Sacramento, who came through just two seconds later at 25:08. The places are different, the finish times are nearly identical, and the gap is as small as it gets without a photo finish.

Sofia Casanova Andrade, 13, wasn't far behind either, posting 25:14 for 3rd — meaning the top three were separated by a grand total of 8 seconds across 3.1 miles. All three ran right at 8:05–8:07 per mile, a genuinely competitive clip for the age group. Mia Wong held 4th in 26:04, running a noticeably stronger pace than the athletes behind her, while Lillian Spinola (5th, 26:57) and Claire Hrabe (6th, 27:56) completed a solid top six before the field spread out considerably.

From 7th onward, the gaps widen sharply — Christina Mohr (7th, 31:42) and Robyn Tyler (8th, 31:49) ran their own close battle about four minutes off the leaders' pace, and the back half of the field stretched all the way to Isabella Rudes in 20th at 46:27. Jazlene Rico (11th, 34:53), Jade Nicula (12th, 38:07), and Jael Shepard and Skyler Powell (14th and 15th, separated by just one second at 38:46 and 38:47) each had their own stories within a field of 23. On a crisp 54°F morning in West Sacramento, these young runners showed up and raced.
